About The Role

Teach For Australia strives to be a learning organisation, guided by our vision, mission and Theory of Change. The Measurement and Evaluation Coordinator plays a critical part in ensuring that TFA has a strong evidence base which informs decisions and a culture of leveraging data and evaluations for continuous improvement. This position is supported to deliver work by the Measurement, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Manager and Senior Data and Impact Analyst.
This role strengthens TFA’s evidence base by supporting the design, implementation, and upkeep of our measurement and evaluation tools. With a focus on high-quality data collection, first level analysis, and practical support for teams, this position helps ensure we capture meaningful insights that inform decision-making and demonstrate our organisational impact.

 

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

  • Experience in survey design, data collection, and report writing in a social impact, education, or community context 
  • Foundational understanding of evaluation practice, such as Theory of Change, logic models and program evaluation principles 
  • Ability to collect, organise, clean and match data sets, and conduct first level analysis
  • Ability to communicate with and support a variety of stakeholders across the organisation  

 

Skills, Attributes and Knowledge

Essential

  • A flexible, proactive self-starter who is open to learning and is aligned with Teach For Australia’s vision and core values
  • Strong project management and time management skills, including the ability to organise work, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarise data clearly, produce straightforward commentary, and communicate findings to non-technical audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, staff across the organisation and external stakeholders as required
  • Understanding of ethical data management, including confidentiality and data quality
